Podology
deals with the prevention and treatment of painful conditions and functional disorders of the feet in regards to the movement apparatus as a whole.
The physiotherapist will:
• Examine the biomechanics of movement - plantoscopy, plantography, overall kinesiological examination of posture, walking, running
• Provide a manual exam based on the findings - manipulation, mobilization of soft tissue and other techniques
• laser, ultrasound,... and other types electro-treatment
• hand-tailor individual orthopedic Formthotic inserts based on sole prints of the patient
• sensomotorics
• ball exercises
• taping
• training of appropriate exercises
• consultations in regards to life style, sports activities, types of shoes....
Formthotics
The ideal functional support of the foot and a correction of the movement apparatus individually modeled based on podological examinations.

FORMTHOTICS – thermoplastic insoles
- are a revolutionary type of tailor-made insoles, made from a cast of your foot, which perfectly harmonize with the function of the human foot.
- assure the optimal distribution of weight on the entire are of the sole
- ideally support the instep, prevent the outward, inward and rotational misalignment of the foot and lead the foot along the axis of movement
- limit the possibility of trauma especially in the area of ankle and knee
- thanks to their flexibility they absorb shocks, protect joints, the spine and Achilles tendons
- improve vein activity – muscle pump
- significantly improve stance, stride, and running, including quick starts and stops, facilitate take-off and landing
- defer the tiring of the lower extremities
The longevity of the insoles is typically twice that of footwear.
Insoles can be reformed repeatedly.
Developed and produced in New Zealand, tested all over the world.
When FORMTHOTICS will help
1) prevention of the following problems
2) problems of the entire movement apparatus
• leg pain under strain
• flat feet, both vertically and horizontally, misalignment of the sole (“waddling”), hammer toes, hallux valgus (bunions), calluses, corns
• ankle problems- inward or outward buckling, instability, weak ligaments
• thigh and calf pain
• knee problems - instability, ligaments, meniscus, arthritis
• hip joint problems - arthritis
• back and head aches of vertebrogenic origin
• unequal length of the lower extremities
3) after distortion, luxation, fracture of the lower extremities
after ankle, knee, hip operations ( arthroscopy, endoprothesis...)
after back injuries
4) during pregnancy
• compensates for the heightened strain on the instep due to higher body weight, improves the circulation of blood in the leg and prevents the occurrence of varixes, lowers the pressure on the joints, prevents back pain.
5) in vascular insufficiency of the lower extremities
• improves the proper function of the leg muscles and their effective contractions help pump blood back to the heart, thus improving venous return and alleviating leg pain, swelling and occurrence of varixes.
6) in diabetes
• supports blood circulation
• protects feet from calluses and skin defects
7) during sports activities
• limits the strain on and the attrition of the movement apparatus, lowers injury risk
• makes movements more effective
8) during neurological problems
• in cases of balance problems
• in defects of proprioception.
Types of FORMTHOTICS insoles
- thanks to the especially developed materials and their combination we offer many different types of insoles individually designed for :
• sport: skiing ( downhill as well as cross-country), snowboarding, golf, jogging, running, hiking, aerobics, weight training, bicycling, soccer, basketball, hockey, in-line skating, tennis,...
• common daily activities: insoles into loafers, pumps.
